My name is Andrew Lapointe. This is yet another blog by another person with access to too much free time, a laptop and internet access and the desire to write and amuse with words: big words, small words, silly words, and when the time calls for it (or doesn't) coarse and salty words.
This is my second blog. I'm a proud movie geek and I write about my obsessive love for film on my blog The Cinema Diary. With this blog, I'm experimenting with comedic and stream of consciousness writing. I'm heavily influenced by stand up comedians like George Carlin and Patton Oswalt. Carlin had a love for words and writing and wrote several books that complimented his stand up. Oswalt also has a talent for writing and just released his first book, Zombie Spaceship Wasteland, which inspired me greatly.
I hope to express my warped outlook on life, sex, religion, culture, music, current events, and anything that prompts me to log on and start typing. I don't consider myself a professional or an accomplished writer or blogger. I am an eager amateur and if the internet has provided the world with anything worthwhile, it has been eager amateurs. The difference here is, I promise you my clothes will remain on.
